Details

These cruises are to give passengers the chance to see migrating seabirds such as skuas, shearwaters, terns and other seabirds including auks and gulls as they start their flights south for the winter. The boat sails up to 3 miles out to sea and birds are tempted to fly close to the boat by the spreading of ‘chum’, an exciting mix of rotting fish that provides them with a free meal.

All the cruises take place aboard the Yorkshire Belle, which leaves from the North Pier at Bridlington Harbour and last up to 3½ hours for the Skua and Shearwater cruises. Ticket prices are £20.00 per adult and £10.00 per child (16 and Under). Children aged 2 and under sail free.
They have also introduced a group ticket discount this year whereby groups of 10 or more can get the 11th (cheapest) ticket free of charge.

Volunteer experts from the RSPB’s East Yorkshire Local Group are on board each cruise to help everyone get more from their cruise experience by helping with bird identification and other information. They even have binoculars that can be borrowed.
Booking is essential as many of these cruises will become full. For further details or to book please telephone the cruise office on 01262 850959 or e-mail bempton.cruises@rspb.co.uk.
Further details can also be viewed on the RSPB website via the link www.rspb.org.uk/bemptoncliffs under the Events listings.
