Details

Flamborough Rock Cottages are an ideal base to stay whilst exploring the scenic Yorkshire coast. The headland of Flamborough extends into the North Sea for approximately 6 miles and has impressive natural scenery. The chalk cliffs rise to 400 feet along the north coast and are home to many nesting sea bird colonies, including Puffins. In the east there are caves and stacks, with rocky outcrops which have caused many shipwrecks.

The cliffs to the south are not as high but there is a spectacular view across the bay towards Bridlington. There are 2 beaches within a mile of the cottages and it is only 1.5 miles from the popular walking route of Danes Dyke. Bempton Bird Sanctuary is also only a few minutes away.

Flamborough has much to offer the rambler, historian, ornithologist, archaeologist and geologist. The headland is a peaceful place, full of interest and natural beauty, and Flamborough Rock Cottages are a perfect place to compliment this perfect environment.

By Road:
On entering Bridlington you will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight on the ring road for approximately 2 miles to the first roundabout, go over the mini roundabout, take first left signposted Flamborough. At the next roundabout go straight over and follow the road into Flamborough village. There is a church on the right and cemetary on the left, go round the bend onto Tower Street. Approximately 500 yards turn right into Dog and Duck Square (opposite Sea Birds Restaurant and Pub).

By Public Transport:
Taxi or bus service 510 from bus station.
From train station on Hilderthorpe Road turn left straight on to the promenade. Bus station is on the promenade.
