Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards

On behalf of VHEY We would like to offer our best wishes to you, your families and colleagues during this difficult time and hope you are all well and safe.

Following the postponement of our award ceremony we took the decision to go digital with our awards. 

15 winners were announced at a virtual celebration on Wednesday 6th May to an audience watching on our Facebook and YouTube pages.

Although we are not able to welcome visitors to our area to enjoy Hull and East Yorkshire’s fantastic tourism offer at present, it is more important than ever that we recognise all of our outstanding businesses,we would therefore like to thank you for your continued support for VHEY and the REYTA awards. Hopefully the evening will provided an opportunity to put some smiles on faces and celebrate success!

In 2020, 15 awards covering a wide range of categories are up for grabs.This year we have aligned even more closely with Visit England and have used a shared application process. This means that in most of the REYTA categories, winners will automatically be entered into the national awards without any further application.

Refunds

All refunds have been sent for processing, due to the nature of work at this time we cannot give a timeframe as to when you will receive the refund.

If you paid via the online REYTA ticket form for tickets and transport, your refund has been sent for processing, you don’t need to do anything and you’ll receive a refund for the full amount from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

If you asked to be invoiced, a credit note is being processed for you and will be sent to the address on the invoice.

If you booked coach transportation through Beverley TIC, we will be in touch shortly.

I’ve won! What happens next?

The following day you’ll receive an email with your new logos to use everywhere! This email will also confirm if you are eligible in a national category.

REYTA Food

Due to the short notice of the postponement of the awards, some of the food had already arrived at the Bridlington Spa. To avoid any waste the food was donated to local charities. 

Feedback

We would encourage all entrants to the 2020 REYTAs to request feedback on their application, at a time most suitable to you.

Feedback was initially going to be automatically sent to all those who applied for the REYTAs, however we feel this approach may not be helpful at this time.
